Frequently Asked Questions
I have never modelled before and I am not sure if I can do it?
This is the question everyone asks and the answer is absolutely yes you can! You do not need to be a professional model to take gorgeous pictures and look fantastic.
None of the people in my photos are professional models. What makes them look so amazing is being relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera. My photo sessions are fully guided and I will help you through the shoot with encouragement, posing and direction. The only thing you’ll need to do is relax and have fun.
Where do the shoots take place? Do you have a studio?
I shoot at your location, indoor or outdoor depending on what you're requirements are. I can also recommend great places I have used before and help with location hunting.
Can I bring someone to my session?
Absolutely! Having someone with you is a great way to help calm the nerves and get the shoot going.
How heavily are your pictures edited? How much do you use photoshop?
I do this to your requirements and everyone is different. I try and achieve natural and as true to life images as possible.
All images are edited for blemish removal, lighting, colour correction and skin smoothing. However, if there are particular problem areas or things you don’t like, we can fix that. I usually go over the editing process in the initial consultation before the shoot as it’s often something we can address with lighting, picture angles or simply posing.
When can I book a photo session?
I shoot 7 days a week with bookings starting from 10am throughout the day. I only shoot during daylight hours unless a nighttime shoot is specifically requested. I will require a minimum of 2 weeks notice to book a photo session.
How do I prepare for my photo session?
Once you have your photo shoot booked in I will send a comprehensive guide to help you prepare.
A few key things:-
Plan the day of your photo session well in advance and ensure that you arrive on time. Rushing doesn’t help being relaxed and natural in front of the camera, and I want you to have as much shooting time as possible .
Be well rested. Photo sessions can be a real workout in themselves and you want to have lots of energy. You don’t want to look exhausted.
Choose your outfits beforehand. In our consultations before the session, we will go over the type of styling and atmosphere you want which usually means getting a good idea of outfit choice. In a 3 hour session, 3 outfits is a good rule of thumb. Most importantly, wear something you feel comfortable in.
